Results...

It's so unexpected for me to be eating my breakfast and then suddenly, my history teacher messages me to tell me my SPM results...

Such an Anti-climax!!!

Official report for A+ is (95-100%) for A it's (90-94) and A- it's (80-89)...

However, sources said that the marks might have been reduced by 3-5 marks according to the bell-graph...

Well, first of all, I'm officially an ex-student!

******

as you can see, I re-did Nicole's henna on my hand...
Blame my anxiety, not me!

Finally...

(p.s: notice that I have covered the blank space behind the A :P-- of course lah not straight A+s... or I would have been called yesterday...)

But Nevertheless 13 Straight As!!! It came as a shock to me that I could get A for Chinese!!!
It's like the first time I've gotten an A for my Chinese...
I spent the MOST of the time revising for Chinese as it is my weakest subject...
And, all the hard work and effort paid off!!! ^^

Hmm... But if I had taken only the 1st 10 subs then I would've gotten straight A+s...

Aiyah don't be so greedy lah...

Finally, I'm not a nerd okay? I did just as well for my ko-ko...

98.5% so don't call me a geek... == lol...

Anyways, thanks to all of my wonderful SMKSS teachers and friends:

Class teacher- Pn Carol

D-Day Tomorrow...

Few of the people from the campus got calls from Kementerian, saying they have straight A+s. One got 10A+, 13A+ and 14A+... @@

Oh my, and I left my phone in my transport car...

[No phone for the whole of today...]

Haiya but my Chinese would not get A+ de so no need 2 be "gan-cheong" for the call...

Well, I really hope I'll get 13 straight As...

Good luck to you guys!!!

Wish me all the best,

Talks from UK Unis

Today came a short, 1 hour talk on UK universities,
reps from respective unis came over...
There were four, i.e. from LSE, University College London, King's College London and Imperial College London...
I aspire to be in one of the UK or US ivy league universities doing Actuarial Science or a double degree in Accounting and Law...

Nevertheless, dad isn't too keen for me to go to the UK as he feels that the society in UK is crumbling apart... ( In 2008, more than 70% of Britons think that their society has been a worse place to live in- and that was before the Economic Downturn)

He wants me to do my degree in Uni Otago in NZ...

Well, if I don't get a scholarship means I won't be able to go into the Ivy's so...

Oh my, I hope I do really well in my SPM andsuccessfully secure a Bank Negara/ Sime Darby/ JPA scholarship...

Wish me all the best,
Hillary.........

College~

THE CAL MONSTER

With loads more of presentations and assignments,

I feel that I have to utilise my time well enough in order to be able to be "productive"..

Sometimes, I'm even too tired till I cannot sleep...

I miss high school, wearing uniforms, seeing prefects barking at students, hearing Miss Chin's exploding laughter in class, Pn. Foo's "witty" jokes, Pn Yap's journals, Mr Lim's damn good satirical jokes, Ms Kok's "Saya ini memang jahat,", Mr Eng's occasional hopping et cetera..

Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to having GR8 fun in college...
Lot's of self studying here..
and our education system in sec school is very different..

No more Miss Kok's sejarah notes to read and cover the entire syllabus, no more "Focus-U" to be read... You can read as much as you want and not be able to cover the whole syllabus...

In other words, you have to read A LOT.. and from many different sources!

(Sources of inspiration :DD)

I wish that I will get a fantastic scholarship and be able to further my studies with success...
Make my parents and myself proud :)

The lecturer like Mr. Vejay

This is the TEACHER I'm talking about
(Picture courtesy from Mr. TingHH's blog)
Here's a few pics of Mr. Chandran.... Reminds me soooo much of Mr. Vejay!!!

Mr. Chan's in pain LOL
(p.s: Ignore the guy hugging Mr. Chan... ahahaha!)

Similarities :)

Well, after almost a month in college, I can truly say that there are similarities between my SMKSS teachers and my college teachers:

Mr. Chandran (accounts) = Mr Vejay

*they have the same sense of humour, almost the same voice and the lesson is never boring...

Ms. Tilakam (sociology) = Pn Muthu

* same voice but socio is quite interesting

Ms Tee (maths) = Pn Tan TT

* a lot of work but nevertheless a good teacher

Ms. Rayvathy (econs) = Cik Normalizawati

* same voice and a very good teacher who had made me love Econs :)

Mrs. David (TKS) = Mrs. Pinto (tuition)

* Exactly the same voice!!

Ms. Patma (LAN) = Pn Buvanes

* Same manner of talking

Generally, I'm satisfied with my lecturers. Nonetheless, work and assignments are keeping me extremely busy..

Sometimes I think back about my life in high school and I feel that I should have cherished it more.. As you can see from the above, teachers here generally have the same voice with that of my ex-mentors.. Thus, they kinda remind me of those days at sec school...

I really miss my teachers and friends...
If I could, I should have fully treasured my time with them...

:DD

Cheers,
Hillary

A New wave of changes~

Here comes college life with lotsa changes...
It's quite different compared to High school
(We have no tuition classes)
Nevertheless, mind you that we (or should I say I) have to go back everyday
at only 5pm,
Wake up at 5.15 am and leave for college at 6.30!

Math homework comes like there's no end to it,
and once I open my inbox it's like:

Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng
Tee Laypeng

(she sends hwork via email)

[SPAMMING!]

Well, I like her but not the homework..
Weekly tests are also a must..
When I imagine complaining about Ms, Kok's sejarah test,
I feel like it is nothing compared to that in college...
esp since I'm in the CAl programme
(for those of you who don't know, CAL= Cambridge A Level)..
Consistent study is COMPULSORY T.T

SO, to those guys n gals still in high school,
savour your moments over there!!

Oh my, I think I really miss high school,
altho the teachers over here in college are as fantastic as well :DD

I wanna live life to the MAX!!
- and treasure my time in college b4 I regret it (: -

Hi guys!

To my friends from SMKSS,
Taylors Uni College,
CAL, SAM, ICPU frens..
HI!! :)

For those of you who don't know me,
I'm Hillary!
I'm hype, fun, and most of all I love lotsa stuff!!

Since it's college for me now,
I guess I have more freedom... (but not free time mind you)
It's busy being in college cos tho the subjects are less, there's a lot of work, assignments, and lotsa notes to study...
I wanna blog to make it a personal diary for myself
and continue this habit of mine which had died out two years ago :P

With comps all over the college, blogging is definitely much easier for me..
I wanna live life to the MAXX!!
Make it an unforgettable journey for the people around me and myself..
I have lotsa interests towards things in life,
so it's easy to CLiCK with me!!! :D
